The Orange Fund is the annual fundraising initiative at ECFS. The School relies on charitable contributions from parents/guardians, alumni, grandparents, parents of graduates, faculty/staff, and friends to underwrite the comprehensive costs of operating the School and bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost to educate each student. The Orange Fund helps with every aspect of the School’s operating costs, including financial aid.

The Orange Fund has a direct impact on the ECFS educational experience. As with all independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating each student at ECFS. Historically the gap between tuition and operating expenses has been around $7,000 per student. The remaining costs are made up of income from our institutional investment portfolio and unrestricted donations to the annual fund (Orange Fund).

Philanthropic support is an important part of every independent/ not-for-profit school’s business plan. Your gifts to the Orange Fund help reduce the gap per student and help ECFS meet our annual operating budget. Achieving our Orange Fund financial goals is essential.

We are grateful for each donation and ask that you participate at a level that is comfortable for you and will have the greatest impact on current and future ECFS students. In the past, we have received gifts ranging from $5 to $250,000 Every gift counts.

To make it easy for you, we accept donations in the form that works best for you. Online credit card donations generate an immediate acknowledgment letter and appear on our donor wall. Other donation options are on our Ways to Give page.

Yes, your gift is fully tax deductible. You will receive an email confirmation for online donations that may serve as your receipt for tax purposes. Other donations will receive acknowledgments by mail.
